Good Bye Chuck Town

We are now going into our final weekend in South Carolina. Even though we haven't had any furniture to sit on for about a week, it will still be hard to say good bye. We have been blessed with amazing neighbors, a great church, and an incredible place to work. It is now time for us to move on and focus on the future. The great part is that waiting for us are great neighbors, the beginnings of a great church, and a job that I look forward to. Most importantly, no chance of being shipped over seas. We will be spending this weekend packing and cleaning, and early Monday morning we will be heading to our new lives. Even though it is tough to say bye, it is exciting to know what awaits us in Tennessee. I look forward to not living in South Carolina humidity, having a lake again, and gorgeous mountains to enjoy.

Now I just have to remember what it is like to go to work again. After 45 days between jobs, I have learned to enjoy the freedom to do what I want all day. Unfortunately, my pay from the Navy is about to end, so I guess that will make it a little more difficult.

Tonight we have a baby sitter lined out, and we are going to go to what is an amazing down town area and enjoy it without kids for one last time. Lucky for us, Chattanooga has an even more amazing downtown area.

Aaron graduated from K3 this week. Of course, as a parent, I am extremely proud to see him finish, but it is also hard to realize how quick he is growing up. In his usual Aaron form, he couldn't sit still on the stage, and continuously waved at me and Kristina, so that everyone knew who the parents of the squirming kid are. These are the things that we will look back on and laugh one day. He was presented a certificate and told he has a spirit of compassion. He really is a sweet boy. He just can't sit still. Luke is starting to put sentences together now. It is amazing how quickly he has started putting things together. Unfortunately, Mom is still pronounced "Bob" to Luke, so in our house we have Bob and Dad. He is definitely the more focused of the two boys, but Aaron is doing what any good big brother should do. He is teaching Luke to do things that will get him in trouble. Yesterday, Luke got hit in the head with a wiffle ball bat that Aaron was playing with in the backyard. Oh the joy of having boys.

Kristina is amazing as always. She is having a hard time leaving our home here, but not having furniture for a week is making that easier. Keep us in your prayers as we head off to our new lives.
